Six-time GRAMMY Winner & recent Kennedy Center Honoree Amy Grant returns with new single, “The 6 Of January (Yasgur’s Farm)”, her first new music in over a decade. This very personal song from Americana singer-songwriter Grant is a journey through themes of healing, human & spiritual connection, unity, & hope.
While the title of the single could indicate a stance on the political spectrum, it is quite the opposite. The song asks the question, haven’t we all lost our way? With references to the idealistic era of Woodstock and the hope for something better, the song is more of a question than a commentary. Says Amy, “We operate in the world around us and sometimes neglect the power of what we have in our choices and how those choices affect the world around us. Maybe life and problem solving is more of ‘we’ than ‘me’. If we can choose to look through a lens other than our own, maybe there is hope to come together and find a way forward through the unrest.”

Grant will be in Belfast next week to headline Ireland’s Folk In Fusion Festival on Tuesday 13 January. The event forms part of a wider celebration of the cultural links between Belfast and Nashville, which are sister cities. Amy Grant will lead the night, bringing a catalogue that spans folk, gospel, pop and country. With more than 30 million albums sold worldwide, Grant is known for songs including Baby Baby, Every Heartbeat and That’s What Love Is For, and alongside her six Grammy Awards and Kennedy Center honour, she has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
