Antonio Larosa Shares Swaggering New Single “Right Side of Over You”

Today, award-winning alt-country artist Antonio Larosa releases “Right Side Of Over You,” a gritty, tongue-in-cheek country-rock track that leans into bad decisions, late nights, and the strange clarity that can come from a relationship going sideways. Listen to “Right Side Of Over You” HERE.

Driven by barroom swagger, rockabilly edge, and a healthy dose of self-awareness, “Right Side Of Over You” centres on a character who knows his own worst habits all too well. The song leans into the fallout of bad decisions and a breakup of his own making, finding humour, frustration, and a strange sense of freedom in the aftermath.

“I love songs where the guy isn’t exactly the hero,” says Larosa. “He knows he’s made some bad calls and spent plenty of nights on the wrong side of things. But at the same time, that relationship was never doing him any favors either. It’s that messy middle where you can finally laugh at your own mistakes and keep moving forward. There’s definitely a bit of a smirk in this one. We cut it live because I wanted it to feel loose and real, like a band tearing it up in a bar after midnight.”

Recorded in Vancouver with the full band playing together, “Right Side Of Over You” captures the lived-in energy at the heart of Larosa’s sound. Produced by Marcus Ramsay and mixed and mastered by Brandon Unis, the track leans into a raw alternative-country feel with flashes of Southern rock swagger and vintage rock and roll soul. It is a sound that feels equally informed by classic influences and the road-tested chemistry of a band playing together in real time.

That sense of immediacy has become a defining part of Larosa’s music. Raised in Vancouver, BC, he grew up drawn to the sounds of Johnny Cash, The Allman Brothers, B.B. King, and Roy Orbison, developing a style that blends blues grit, classic country storytelling, and the spirit of vintage rock. With a voice steeped in soul and a reputation for electric live performances, Larosa has steadily carved out a distinct lane within Canada’s roots and alt-country scene.

With “Right Side Of Over You” out now, Larosa is gearing up to hit the road with his Tried and True Tour, which will take him across Canada from BC to QC. A two-time BCCMA Roots Artist of the Year winner, he is also nominated this year for both Male Artist of the Year and Roots Artist of the Year. It follows a strong run of support that has included SiriusXM airplay, editorial playlists, and a live appearance on Nashville's WSM Radio, continuing to grow Larosa’s audience on both sides of the border.
