Blue Highway Records Signs Vibrant New Voice Ava Liv Mabry
Magnetic singer-songwriter Ava Liv Mabry has signed with Blue Highway Records, bringing her fresh reality and handwritten truth to the label’s roster of far-reaching artists where her songs are destined to have a defining role in the company’s future. Mabry will release her first song as a Blue Highway Records artist, “Audrey,” this Friday (9/18).
Discovered as a teen busking on the streets of her hometown, Mabry chased the dream on her terms; writing much of her music solo and releasing it independently from Franklin, TN, as her writer’s voice evolved and her artistry blossomed.
In 2024, she became the youngest recipient of the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s prestigious Abe Olman Scholarship for Songwriting Excellence. Recognizing original talent long before the business embraces them, Mabry joins an acclaimed list of previous recipients, including Lori McKenna, Jordan Davis, Bebe Rexha, Madi Diaz, John Legend and Amy Allen.
The now-20-year-old chronicler of the what and the how recently set the algorithms ablaze with her giddily head-over-heels “Dreamboat.” Creating tender, yet effervescent tracks, Mabry’s songs land on editorial playlists including Spotify’s Fresh Finds and Apple Music’s Breaking Singer-Songwriter, as well as multiple sync placements for Hallmark and Netflix. Taking her time, Mabry’s built an impressive creative community, collaborating with some of pop music’s most respected songwriters, including Dave Barnes (Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton), Mags Duval (Alex Warren, Benson Boone), Sam Tinnesz (Sum 41, Kygo), Casey Smith (Jonas Brothers, Megan Moroney) and more.
"I started singing on the street in downtown Franklin when I was 13 years old, multiple times per week, with the goal of making just one person stop,” shares Mabry. “I’ve thought about those moments often during the process of signing with Blue Highway, especially when I heard the name was inspired by the backroads across America, and the paths less taken. Singing my songs on the street, sometimes even in the pouring rain, has been the 'blue highway' that brought me here. And now, this feels like the start of a new road for me. I couldn’t love my team more, and I am over the moon excited to start this journey with them."
“Ava’s voice represents the heart of the future,” says Blue Highway Records CEO, Jake Basden. “Honest, hopeful and willing, she leans into small moments and delivers whole worlds where almost everyone has taken up residence. Whether the recognition of established adults or young people making their way in the world, I believe this is an important young voice who's destined to define the things that matter to her peers and generation.”

Mabry’s first Blue Highway release is simply “Audrey.” Inspired by Audrey Hepburn, the song dropping on Friday considers the heart of the girl who lives beneath the glitz and glamour, allowing Mabry to consider if America’s darling had ever missed being young and free. Wrapped in a bubbly, bright sound with playful instrumentation and a shimmering melody, “Audrey” explores a touchstone icon with wide-eyed curiosity. Pre-save “Audrey” here.
