Produced by longtime collaborator Tyler Johnson (Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus) and co-written by Cam, Johnson, Michael Uzowuru (Frank Ocean, SZA), and Anders Mouridsen (Meghan Trainor), “Alchemy” is a bright and joyous meditation on the cyclical nature of life, death, and each stage in between.
Says Cam of the track, “I wanted to write something where we just focused on melody, but it turned into a song about reflecting on what we’re made of, where we’re coming from and where we’re going.”
Accompanying the release of the song is its music video, a stunning one-take visual directed by James Mackel, who previously worked with Doechii on the videos for “DENIAL IS A RIVER” and “Anxiety.”
