First Time Flyers announce debut album and UK Headline Tour

Having already hit the ground running in 2025 enjoying a sold-out UK tour and with previous single ‘Out Of Your Mind’ playlisted on BBC Radio 2 plus all UK country radio stations, the unstoppable First Time Flyers now announce the release of their debut album, ‘Bound To Break’ out September 12th, via Lookout Mountain Records. With the news also comes a headline tour and a new single in the shape of ‘Stay,’ out everywhere now.

‘Stay’ is a poignant declaration of the decision to stay with someone even in the face of an uncertain future. The song is inspired by the personal experiences of Poppy from the band who reflects on her own journey through a relationship where trust and past hurt created a powerful emotional tug of war. The song is not only a reflection of personal experience but a universal anthem for anyone who has struggled with the decision to stay in a relationship that is both rewarding and painful.
“The song tells the story of someone trying to navigate the delicate balance between supporting a person with deep emotional scars” says Poppy “and realizing when it may be time to step away for self-preservation, but is it too late? Have they already fallen too hard?”

‘Stay’ had its first play on the Vernon Kay show on BBC Radio 2 on March 14th, the first day of the Country 2 Country Festival (C2C) and the band also appeared on the show playing against each other on Ten to The Top. It set them up nicely for the C2C weekend where the band opened the Indigo stage on Saturday morning and played to a full house, before then playing to a huge crowd at the Big Entrance stage in the afternoon.

‘Stay’ is the latest single from the band’s debut album, ‘Bound To Break’ which they are excited to release this September – more details coming. To celebrate the release the band are taking the album out on the road for their biggest UK headline tour to date, kicking off in Manchester on 17 September. Full dates below, and what with a summer full of festivals 2025 is proving to be non-stop for First Time Flyers.
