Lane Pittman Announces Biggest Project Yet with New Single “Two Feet & a Heartbeat” and Sophomore EP What Now?

Rising country artist Lane Pittman is stepping into his biggest chapter yet with the release of his new single “Two Feet & A Heartbeat” and sophomore EP WHAT NOW?, both arriving April 10.

Packed with momentum, emotion and a growing sense of identity, WHAT NOW? marks an exciting new level for Lane as both an artist and songwriter. Featuring recent fan favourites including the boot-stomping “Miss You In The Morning,” the heartfelt and deeply personal “Man I’m Turning Out To Be,” dedicated to his late father, and the chart-dominating “Amen For The Weekend,” the EP captures an artist coming into his own at exactly the right time.

For Lane, the title WHAT NOW? carries real weight.
“This EP has given me the chance to show that I’m not just a performer, but a songwriter as well,” Lane says. “The title came from me really wanting to silence anyone who had doubts about my ability to write my own music.”

Leading the release is “Two Feet & A Heartbeat,” an uplifting, triumphant track about longing for someone who feels just out of reach. Built around a phrase his mum used to say to him as a kid, the song turns that personal memory into a hook that lingers long after the final chorus.

“The title actually came from a saying my mum would always say when I was younger,” Lane shares.

Written alongside Benny Morrell and Robby De Sa, the track came together quickly in the room, with De Sa also producing the song and much of the EP. The result is a release that feels both immediate and assured, showcasing Lane’s instinct for storytelling and his ability to balance anthemic energy with genuine heart.

The arrival of WHAT NOW? also comes alongside another major career milestone, with Lane recently signing a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Australia — further proof that the work is speaking for itself.

Already turning heads with his WHAT NOW? headline tour, Lane has rolled through Sydney, Wollongong and Orange, with more Australian dates locked in before heading to the United States for a run of headline shows and an appearance at Stagecoach, the world’s biggest country music festival.

With his most confident and fully realised project to date, Lane Pittman isn’t asking for permission — he’s making a statement.

The question is no longer what he’s capable of. It’s what now?
