Petrichor review- Jon Reynolds & The Aches

After a consecutive success of singles throughout the past few years, Jon Reynolds & The Aches are set to debut their first EP Petrichor January 22.
Led by frontman Jon Reynolds, the 5 track EP is a collective set of musical stimuli and stories.

The EP kicks off the “Imogene” soothing soundscape tune while “Heartbreak” paves a different approach slow picking and luminous voice. Meanwhile, “Love Blind” tags all elements of pop-rock interwind with the bands own sense style and introspective songwriting. Finishing off with a stunning “Come Now Spring”
Jon Reynolds & The Aches, have certainly progressed since their last releases in both songwriting and musical style.  Delving into a soul searching self-discovery while dealing heartbreak and depression, the new and improved tunes are exquisite and great anticipation of what’s to come.

Jon Reynolds & The Aches first emerged in 2018 with two well-received singles 'Undertow' and 'Tomorrow's News'. Following the release and a period of reflection, Jon buried himself in the studio with engineer Owen Lewis (Willie Nelson, Snow Patrol, R.E.M) and drummer Matt Singler to work on new material. He settled into the producer's chair with a clear sense of purpose: sounding like himself.
