PRESTON COOPER ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM 'TOLEDO TALKIN’', OUT MAY 30
Burgeoning powerhouse vocalist Preston Cooper is set to release his debut album, Toledo Talkin’, on May 30 via The Valory Music Co. With 12 incendiary tracks – all but three co-written by the no-frills newcomer – Toledo Talkin’ sticks close to Cooper’s shoot-it-straight style. The album features recently released songs including his staggering debut “Weak,” emotive rocker “One More Place I’ve Never Been” and the “tender yet powerful” (Billboard), “Numbers On A Mailbox.”
In conjunction with today’s announcement, Preston unveils the fiery, adrenaline-pumping anthem, “One For The Road.” Described by Preston himself as a "speeding-ticket song," the track embodies the high-octane energy that runs throughout the upcoming album.

Opting for an old-school, full-band recording process, Toledo Talkin’ blends a lean fusion of Country heart and bluesy alt-rock, lashed together with sheer vocal intensity that feels miles from the Music Row norm. Built on chasing dreams, battling doubts, and learning where you stand, the project finds a small-town phenom exploring his creative coming of age, with stadium-sized potential rooted in plainspoken Midwestern authenticity.
“I love this album because it’s so personal,” Preston explains. “Coming from a small town, I worked a 9-5 at the post office and wasn’t even sure if I would make it to Nashville. This album is about me moving away and taking a chance. I’ve gone from the bar down the street to the next state, to the country, and hopefully on to the world. My biggest hope is to make authentic, organic Country music and inspire other young musicians to do the same.”
