Sam Barber Announces Anxiously Awaited New Album Broken View Arrives Everywhere April 3

Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Sam Barber has unveiled plans for his anxiously awaited second full-length album, Broken View, set to arrive everywhere on April 3 via Atlantic Outpost. Pre-order/Pre-save HERE.   Barber has built a rabidly loyal following with a steady output of music and live touring.  Following Friday’s release of lead single “Borrowed Time,” fans clamored online for a new album with Barber unexpectedly responding to a social media post over the weekend with the release date, ahead of today’s formal announcement.

On Broken View, Barber fearlessly explores life, love, loss, heartbreak, relationships, self-doubt, and getting older. As if tracing a sonic roadmap through the Heartland of the United States, the music twists and turns from moments of gritty country to fits of rock catharsis and instances of soulful folk musing. He looks back on his life and ahead at what the future holds, pulling the listener tight into his embrace on the trip—and never letting go.

The bulk of the new album was co-produced and co-written by Barber and his creative confidant Joe Becker,  returning to the seclusion of Montana to record, absorbing the energy of the mountains and open air.  Broken View also sees him working with GRAMMY-award winning producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Dessner [Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan] at Long Pond in New York’s Hudson Valley. Broken View follows Barber’s 2024 breakout RIAA-Gold certified debut album, Restless Mind, and begins the next era of his young career in earnest.
Barber is currently canvasing the country on “The American Route,” an epic US headline tour that will carry him through June (tour itinerary attached below). Along the way, he will make his much-anticipated return to Indio, CA’s Stagecoach Music Festival this spring. For complete details and ticket information, please visit sambarberlive.com or sambarbermusic.com.
