SINEAD BURGESS ANNOUNCED AS CO-HOST OF 48TH ANNUAL TOYOTA GOLDEN GUITAR AWARDS.
Nashville based Australian singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist SINEAD BURGESS has today been announced as a Co-host for the 48th Annual CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia (Golden Guitars) on January 25th in Tamworth, Australia’s most recognized awards show for the genre as part of an all female hosting line-up.
The announcement comes after what has been a rather busy 18 months for the Brisbane-born artist, winning the 2019 Nashville Songwriting Residency Grant from the Australian Arts Council, performing for Sounds Australia official showcases at Americanafest in Nashville, playing the first C2C Festival in Sydney & Brisbane (performing alongside Eric Paslay, Raelynn & Travis Collins for the CMA Songwriter Series), as well as spending 2 months across the U.K/Ireland touring with Paul Young & Nick Lowe.
Freshly releasing her new single in late 2019, “Reno”, which is currently a Top 30 singleon the Australian Country Hot 50 Airplay chart, has been a blistering follow up to her debut self-produced album release Damaged Goods in 2018, an album that reached #3on the UK iTunes Country Album Chart, #6 on the Australian iTunes Country Album Chart and even impacted the top 200 in the US upon release. “Reno" has not only earned her a nomination for New Talent of the Year at this year’s Golden Guitars, but also a nomination for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year in adopted home of Nashville for the APRA Global Music Awards, to be held in March.
