The LongRoad festival makes a grand return this August for a bank holiday weekend filled with the finest array of American sights, experiences, tastes and sounds found this side of the Atlantic, all arriving at Leicestershire’s stunning Stanford Hall estate between 26-28th August 2022. Adding to a line up brimming with America’s biggest Country icons including Chris Young, The Cadillac Three, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, LOCASH, Drake White, Brandy Clark and more, The LongRoadadds another batch of brilliant names today. A real range of styles from all corners of the globe come together at the LongRoad in celebration of the rich history and constant evolution of the Country sound. These include Shy Carter as the Amazon Music Artist To Watch who recently penned hits for Charlie Puth, Jason Derulo, Megan Trainor, Keith Urban and more, as well as the Rolling Stone-tipped Amythyst Kiah who’s also a member of the all-women-of-color supergroup Our Native Daughters.
One of the UK’s most compelling singer-songwriters Benjamin Francis Leftwich also joins the bill, and brings his distinctive and beloved brand of melancholic indie folk pop to the table. Elsewhere the likes of the Texas-bred soul-baring songwriter Joshua RayWalker, platinum selling artist and award-winning producer and songwriter Tebey, barrier-breaking Canadianartist Jess Moskaluke, Kentucky natives Everette andcinematic and poetic grandson of Hank Williams Sam Williams are all announced today.
Europe’s premier Americana label Loose announce their takeover line up for 2022, welcoming the beautifully honest Nashville story-teller Andrew Combs, the habitually travelling Margo Cilker, Catalan singer-songwriter Joana Serrat, widely acclaimed Birmingham-based Katherine Priddy, and the UK roots titan Danny George Wilson. Loose said,"We are honoured to be asked to take over The Honky Tonk at The LongRoad and we’ve selected a cracking line-up of world class acts from both sides of the pond. It's going to be an awesome day!"
The Long Road hosts a number of extra special moments across the weekend, and later as the hot sun starts to dip beyond the horizon, head on down to the Buck n Bull After Party with DJ Hish and more, to hear all the hottest country tunes long into the night.
With a welcoming celebration of the finest handpicked artists, the three day camping event gathers together alternative music fans from around the UK for a joyous and immersive family friendly weekend. With so much to explore beyond the music, expect a whole world of displays and extra events to entice every kind of American muscle car and vintage motorcycle enthusiast, as well as an unbeatable array of stateside street food vendors to cater to craft beer drinkers and foodies with a taste for the famous southern hospitality. The Long Road truly stands as a uniquely unmissable event in the festival calendar this summer.
The festival made its debut in September 2018, and now the family-and dog-friendly event takes a step forward into the August Bank Holiday weekend for the first time. Looking ahead to the summer this year, Baylen Leonard, Creative Director of The Long Road, says…
