New Single 'God Man' by PEI's Noah Malcolm Out Now on All Platforms + Can/US/UK Radio
Queer singer-songwriter Noah Malcolm has released his new single 'God Man' on July 9, available now on all major streaming platforms and distributed to radio across Canada, the United States, and the UK. It's been placed on editorial playlists on Apple Music (New in Alternative, Made in Canada, New Music Daily), Amazon Music (Just North of Nashville, Brand New Music, Fresh Folk & Americana), and Pandora (Today's Tunesmiths & Troubadours).
‘God Man’ is an anthemic, Country-flavoured Folk-Rock proclamation with the title taken from a question Malcolm's father posed eternally to him during his childhood: ‘Are you gonna be a God man?’ Written in January 2025 and a fan favourite at live shows since, ‘God Man’ marks a lighter, upbeat return to the subject of his religious upbringing since his 2018 debut single ‘Pray’.
Laced with Malcolm's trademark cheekiness, 'God Man' is a confessional delivered with grit, camp, spirited guitar riffs, and a vocal that climbs toward a higher power. At a moment when restrictive social politics and Christian Nationalism are on the rise, the retro-styled track holds a mirror to the times, with Malcolm ascending from former worship-team musician to swaggering, Jesus-looking rockstar.
The track was co-produced by Malcolm and Toronto's Stu Weinberg, mixed by JUNO-winning engineer Tim Abraham, and mastered by Bryan Lowe. ‘God Man’ is Malcolm's first release since March 2026’ ‘Two Word Answers’, a joint single with Moira & Claire which reached #6 on the CBC Top 20. Companion photography, visualizers, and a lyric video roll out in the coming weeks, with most captured at Toronto's Metropolitan Community Church, the site of wedding ceremonies which helped prompt the legalization of same-sex marriage in Ontario in 2001.
